Inspired by her grandmother who loves to dance with the water, Moana sets sail against her father’s wishes to restore the Heart of Te Fiti, a magical stone stolen by the trickster demigod Maui. There’s no place for stereotypical princess antics in this particular Disney story, just brilliant comedy and rollicking high-sea adventure, and an honest, affirmative message about finding yourself and forging your own identity.
